Our First Weekend 

After weeks of dedication and hard work we have finally opened our doors to our first store. Nestled in an old warehouse, that is Lock29, our shop offers a unique shopping experience. We wanted to bring your online browsing experience to life and make the shop feel like a home you could take home. Full of amazing products from hand poured candles, hand thrown ceramics and design led cushions, we really think above and beyond when curating our homeware collections. 

Surrounded by the most amazing independent food retailers. On our opening weekend, we received a huge welcome from the local community, our friends, family, people from Banbury and beyond - and we could not be more grateful. 

What is Lock29?

So Lock29 used to be BHS old warehouse, which recently has been transformed into a bustling hub of food, shopping, entertainment in the heart of Banbury. We were so lucky that a space became available for us to expand Essence Home and be able to provide our customers with high quality. We are surrounded by a team of independent retailers, including chefs, baristas, artists, candle makers, performers, bartenders and more! 

Instore exclusives you say?

Now we are apart of a space that is so full of life, we are looking to host more days like our opening day that will bring people together to Lock29 and Essence Home. We want to host you at our shop as well as have you just pop by. So with this look forward to many event days over the next year with discounts, freebies, and more exclusive treats. 

We also will be selling pieces that we will unfortunately not be able to ship. These will include furniture items like a bespoke natural rattan chair from Glasgow, and handmade lampshades from Morocco.

We have so many amazing brands in store and we would love for you to be able to experience them like we do. Our shop may be small but we have worked so hard to make the space feel warm and welcoming to every customer as they experience Lock29, either for the first or 100th time. 

We are so happy to see everyone of your faces and would love to see you in store now we are officially open!!
